It’s been a few years since Kid Cudi performed in Toronto, and to say the last time I saw him was a great experience would also be a lie. But alas, Rap Season gave him another shot and the Cleveland rapper did not dissapoint. With a stage set and lighting that was both adventurous and mythical, Cudi brought Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’ to life in the most beautiful way. While he performed his latest album, released in Dec. 2016, almost in full, he also dived into some early classic Cudi cuts to appease the sold-out crowd. Without a doubt in my mind, this was one of the most beautiful sets I’ve ever seen (and also a nightmare for photographers), and the show itself was more passion and demon slayin’ than pain.
