The Raptors’ Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan Named To U.S. Olympic Basketball Team

The U.S. has selected its 12-player roster for USA Olympic Basketball Team. For the first time ever the team will also include Toronto guards DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. Vince Carter(2000) and Chris Bosh(2008) are the only other Raptors to represent the United States at an Olympic Games.

The team will also have Golden State’s Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes; Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving; Indiana’s Paul George; Chicago’s Jimmy Butler; Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins and the Clippers’ DeAndre Jordan.

The training camp will open on July 18 in Las Vegas and play five exhibition games before heading to Rio.
