TORONTO – Building off the success of the Pops-produced “Perfect Cell,” Nightmare Klub hip-hop artist Sese has announced the second single off his acclaimed new mixtape, The Cell Saga, as well as the release date for the song’s accompanying music video.
With Chef Byer (OB O’Brien, Ryan Leslie) behind the boards, Sese pushes his personification of the Dragon Ball Z character Cell even further with “Super Kamehameha.”
Fitting perfectly with Sese’s sharp tongue and lyrical wit, the song brings to life an advanced and more powerful version of the Kamehameha, which is the most widely used finishing attack in the popular DBZ universe.
With close to a decade’s worth of experience, Sese has built an impressive catalog of releases that has seen his fanbase build at a steady pace. His most recent mixtape series – inspired by Dragon Ball Z – has significantly expanded his reach and earned him the praise of industry taste-makers including fellow Canadian rapper, Drake.
Sese was on Toronto’s Bring Ya Eh Game Radio (CIUT 89.5FM) Monday night to announce that the Frank Douglas-directed video for “Super Kamehameha” would be released Tuesday, March 22 at Noon (ET).
The Cell Saga is the second installment of Sese’s plan to release three DBZ inspired projects. Details about the third mixtape are currently unavailable, but it was recently revealed that Sese would be headlining a tour this summer to promote all 3 projects – tentatively titled THE SAGA TOUR.
