Chicago’s gang violence, drug abuse, and high murder rates have been reaching a new height with the emergence of the new hip-hop scene. In an unfortunate twist of fate, rappers such as Chief Keef, Lil Durk and Lil Reese “benefit” from these harsh conditions by just rapping about everyday life in Chicago.
So, Noisey sent Thomas Morton to Chicago to gives a first person view of just how rough the area of Chicago really is. Morton teams up with Young Chop, Lil Durk, Lil Reese and Peeda Pan, the manager of Glory Boyz Entertainment, to give us the inside look on Chicago gun violence and the culture that has become of it.
