Back in January we caught up with Wale as he expressed how he felt about SOPA, Common, his future projects and more. Three months later, Wale sits down with Hypetrak TV and discusses his outlook on his recent success.
Wale’s rap career has taken its fair share of twists and turns since his first mixtape Paint A Picture dropped back in 2005. He was construed to be a representative in the new class of stylish, trendy and cool rappers alongside the likes of Kanye, KiD CuDi and Big Sean. Album sales for his debut LP Attention Deficit didn’t meet expectations and the D.C. native’s career seemed to be in limbo for a while. All that changed with his latest album, Ambition, which is now on the verge of hitting gold status.
